OVERVIEW

The goal of the Board of Election is to provide the citizens of the county with the best possible services, and to conduct fair, honest and impartial elections in an efficient and economical manner.

The Board of Election Office is charged with the overall responsibility of administering the election process and campaign finance disclosures for all elections held in Lincoln County.

PUBLIC NOTICE - UOCAVA Election Notice

This is an official notice of an election to conducted on 11/07/2023 in Lincoln County. This notice contains a list of all the ballot measures and Town of Maiden offices this county expects, as of this date, to be on the ballot on the day of the election.

VOTER PHOTO ID

Voters will be asked to show photo ID in North Carolina, beginning with the 2023 municipal elections. Most voters will simply show their driver's licenses, but there are many other acceptable photo IDs. If a voter does not have an acceptable photo ID, they can get one for free from the N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV). Find more information under "No-Fee ID Cards" at State IDs | NCDMV. Soon, voters will also be able to get a free voter photo ID from their county board of elections.
