OVERVIEW

The goal of the Board of Election is to provide the citizens of the county with the best possible services, and to conduct fair, honest and impartial elections in an efficient and economical manner.

The Board of Election Office is charged with the overall responsibility of administering the election process and campaign finance disclosures for all elections held in Lincoln County.

Sample ballots for the March 5th primary election have been approved and posted. Click on the link below and it will take you to the State Board website Voter Search. Enter your information and it will give you the ballot you are eligible to receive.

PUBLIC NOTICE - Absentee by mail

Any North Carolina registered voter may request, receive, and vote a mail-in absentee ballot where absentee voting is permitted. Mail-in absentee ballots will be ready to be mailed on January 19th, 2024. There are 2 ways to request a ballot. 
1. Online: Request an Absentee Ballot. Go to N.C. Absentee Ballot Portal to request online.

VOTE IN HONOR OF A VETERAN

The Vote in Honor of a Veteran Program provides North Carolinians an opportunity to pay tribute to those who have served this country in the Armed Forces. Any voter can honor a veteran on any Election Day by requesting a pin. Pins are provided for free by the State Board of Elections. Each pin can be personalized with the name of the veteran a voter wishes to honor.
